Joint and Soft Tissue Injections / Prolotherapy

Injections are often used to help with injury diagnosis as well as to treat certain orthopaedic conditions. There are many types of injections that may be used. This may include any of the following:

  • Lidocaine injections used as a diagnostic technique determine specific tendon and muscle conditions
  • Anti-inflammatory injections in the muscle/tendon/and joint to treat the inflammation due to injury or condition and help with pain
  • Viscosupplementation replaces joint lubrication due to degeneration and helps restore motion and treat pain
  • Prolotherapy is a treatment  used to treat loose ligaments and joints by injecting an irritant into these structures to improve the stability and treat pain
